To railroad players into this tutorial, an event was added which forces players to obtain and use a field move (the one and only time a field move is required for progression in B/W), and which also removes the moral ambiguity from Team Plasma, reducing their role in the story to puppy-kicking villains.
Her stated objective was "enable sharing save files with other players". I'd say the anime rewrote her, but she basically didn't exist as a character in the actual games in the first place. Even describing her as "two-dimensional" there would be undue praise.
