>>40123775Emu is great though. Right now you have colosseum/xd connectivity possible between dolphin and vba. Trading works for all gens (The ds ones are convoluted a bit but they are doable). Transferring between gen 3 to 4 and 4 to 5 work using the intended way since you can emulate connectivity and gba slot on fat ds.
The only problem is there's no pokebank as far as I know, so transferring gen 1, 2 and 5 to 6 and 6 to 7 must be done with stuff like pokehex. There's also pokemon ranger connectivity with the ds main games if you want to transfer mons from there.
>>40125686Gen 6 and 7 can be emulated on Citra and run better than on the 3ds. You can also trade and battle with other people in custom rooms. The only issue is no pokebank functionality yet and some online features don't work correctly yet (Secret Base sharing), but it's being worked on.
Somewhat related, what fucking baboons are working on vba? The new versions seem to have less features and the debug functions don't work correctly.
