Hot take on the "fuck IVs" stuff:

Remove IVs -and- natures, give all Pokemon stats a rating from F through A, and the best stat gets an S. All of the stat ratings are clearly visible through the Pokemon's normal summary.
One letter for each stat, so there's no all-S or all-F Pokemon.
