Would probably be a great region to make, if you wanted to do an African region. No idea what sort of mons would be there though, I know nothing about Ethiopia other than what I know from Greek history, which leads me to want a new elephant and new serpentine dragon mon, that share a rivalry.

The country is known for it’s pearl fisheries so maybe it can have some gimmick revolving around diving and hunting pearls and of course a waifumon based around pearls, something like pic related.

Other new Pokémon could include a Water/Fighting Flamingo, Ground/Normal Desert Hedgehog, Dark/Steel Trident Bat, pure Ground Gazelle, Bug/Fighting Acrobat Ant with a Bug/Dark Wasp counterpart, Dark/Fairy Genie and a Dark/Fire type legendary based on Ifrit.
