>>40134874It doesn't matter if mega evolution causes a Pokémon pain or not, the entire point of it is to make them better at killing. Besides, not all mega evolutions cause pain. Megagross's ability to focus and formulate plans on the fly is massively increased when it mega evolves, which is something that would be hard to do when enduring pain.
... And even if it does cause certain Pokémon pain, that's simply incentive for them to destroy the enemy faster in order to stop said pain.
