>>40136489>okay showAlright, I'll bite. I fucking live, sleep, breath Pokémon everyday for the last 21 years and I cannot be asked to sit down and watch the Pokémon anime. That's a fucking problem. A H U G E *GLARING* problem. Almost none of us on here watch the actual, televised show. Imagine how many Starwars fans refuse to watch the new movies? Or diehard comic fans that won't watch a Marvel movie or two each year. Fucking almost less than 2%. Meanwhile the VAST majority of ACTIVE Pokémon fans, cannot, will not under any circumstances, other than monetary incentive, watch the show WILLINGLY. They make it this huge Fischer Price snoozefest... we deserve so much better. I remember waiting to see each Generations episode every week, most of us did. We want that. Not meme faces and pedobait horseshit. A real show. Something that actually makes people want to watch Pokémon as an Anime, separate from the being familiar with the mainline games. Something entertaining, good characters, storylines, monsters, boss battles. Not this "here's a bone" "anime". I couldn't be forced/coerced to recommend it to an Anime loving friend if my life was on the line.
It's shit. Even XY, even SM. All of it, except maaaaaaybe the original English dub for nostalgia's sake. The show should be a show stopper with the budget they have. A proper revenue stream and marketing effort on it's own that's attracts more than dull minded children and man children. A real show. Something the higher ups would be able to sit down and watch because it's actually cool, well written and genuinely funny.
That'll be the day Pokémon as a franchise will no longer have to worry about money
