>>40137209Every mon can dynamax, but only special ones from specific species can gigantamax (which is to say, a regular Corviknight can dynamax but only a special one can gigantamax instead of dynamaxing). How to get the special ones isn't 100% clear but they did say at least one way is to get them from Max Raid Battles. No idea if Giga is possibly hereditary for breeding or attainable through some other means.
You only get to max at all in special fights though. Gym battles, Max Raids and Online Battles are the three instances we've seen it capable in. Most likely there'll be some story battles that allow it too, but it's not like Megas or Z-moves where you can spam them throughout the entire game.
