>>40138009Insta-kill varies already. Shot through the heart, currently it's possible to survive long enough to get patched and get a transplant. Are you likely to make it, no, but it still exists. Headshot, you get stories all the time about people surviving and even then you're still alive for a little bit before losing consciousness. Stabbed with a knife/run through by a sword? You're even more likely to survive compared to getting shot. The point is, that while it's possible to instantly die, the weaker humans of this world are already capable of surviving bullshit compared to the superhuman durability of the pokemon world's humans. Wonder Guard is at the very least able to nullify anything that doesn't make you drop dead instantly, meaning that unless you yourself fuck up majorly, it's near impossible to die.
>>40139580>SteelCompare the legends of Fairies literally burning alive just by touching iron. In comparison, humans handle it just fine all the time. What about getting run through? Of course something running/shooting through your body is capable of killing you. That's not super effective, that's common sense.
>PoisonWe have slow-acting poisons and we have fast-acting
poisons. In both cases, there's still an activation delay. You'll still die if it's in you, as Wonder Guard doesn't protect from Toxic, but that doesn't count as super effective.
>FightingStrong enough martial artists can kill in one hit, or are just smart enough to sneak behind you and snap your neck. Not super effective. One is a case of overlevelling, the other is essentially a critical hit.
>RockFalling off a cliff onto the sharp rocks below, you'll bleed out and then die. Not super effective, Rock slide happens and a boulder crushes you skull. Not super effective. Both cases are gravity at work, and a human body is not as durable as giant and/or sharp pieces of rock.
>IceReally? Ice isn't capable of instantly killing anyone, it's always a gradual kill.
