>>40143713>what are the reasons why people dislike sun/moon?for me one of the main reasons is because the game treats you like a retarded 5 year old. if you try to stray even 0.001% off the intended path, you get dragged back on by some random NPC. the game basically feels like an on rails tutorial up until the fourth island unlike other games where your freedom is usually expanded a lot after the first or second gym. you're conditioned so much into following only the intended path that the rare times very late in the game where you can go off track, you don't even bother because you'll assume the game just wont let you go to whatever place. half the time you can't even attempt to explore outside the main path because they'll have a trial gate impeding your progress unlike other games where you can usually explore halfway into a place before you're turned back by a npc or natural barrier
the other main reason is the cutscenes and other instances where control of your character is taken away. everywhere you go into a new place or whatever, there's a npc, usually lillie that's dragging you along or telling you where to go or what to do. most of the cutscenes are long, aren't engaging and are unskippable too, this is also including the instances where a npc turns you back onto the intended path because it fades to black to load then plays a scene with said character telling you to go back along with a few slow hand animations before fading back to black instead of just telling you without all that.
>Is it worth playing?i guess, a first playthrough might not be too bad but the replay value is practically nonexistant
