A lot of people thought Giratina came from Girasol, which is a type of opal with reds/oranges, which would make sense given that's it's main associatred "aura color" (Iike dialga with blue and palkia with pink), and it'd match the gemstone being a trio and all 3 having optical properties (diamond's adamatine glitter/shimmering, pearl's pealresecent shimmer, and opal's rainbow opalescence ), but it's not and it's just "platinum" or some shit
Just put a fucking red gemstone in between it's "crown"
in fact here I just spent 30 mins doing this. Didn't come out exactly as I would hope but it's good enough, might tweak shit a bit more to get the lighting and color down, maybe alter the shape a bit too. Would like to try adding the opal texture to all the red bits so it's not just the gemstone itself, as well. Feedback welcome.
Also oh god I forgot to write down my workflow so I could do this with giratina-O too, somebody please tell me how I can export a log of all the edits i've done to an image in gimp to a text file or something
