They have to work on it continuously with little breaks while round-robining the production around various parts of Asia besides at home so yes, the style is kept simple with few changes so production can remain fluid and feasible.
It's you who don't have an argument because clearly you don't have an idea of how an industry works much less maintains production. Complex art styles, regardless of the region helming production are expensive as fuck to produce as a series because you have to dumb it down for inbetweeners to draw it more or pay a studio handsomely to handle more complex features, moreso if there's more animation.
