Every region of the world has some people of ethnicity not originally native to the region, and Pokemon tends to represent larger pockets of that as well. Iris is actually based on Native Americans who are arguably more native to America than the white colonists people think of as Americans these days. This new (fe?)male protagonist appears to be based on a pocket of people currently living in the UK too. They're not out of place. They just exist and thus are being shown to represent what exists there. You're being told to go back to /pol/ because you look like an ignorant asshole who'd frequent that board.
