No, you just have shit taste. Girafarig is a tad too small but its design is solid. Its only flaw is the forced Sinnoh gender difference since it takes away from the duality motif by making the front and rear body unevenly distributed.

And here I organized the "pure gen 2" category by what I'd like to see from their evolutionary lines

I started out with Gen 2 so I have a lot of love for it, but I do believe that pokemon design peaked in Johto. I'm not sure what I want. I'd like these pokemon to be better and I do think they have potential for some amazing evolutions, but I don't want their evolutions to lose that gen 2 aesthetic.

Maybe I do prefer they stay unique and forgotten so I can feel unique and alternative for being a Johto boy

I'd be willing to stand by this. Only real major change is that I would put Mega Ampharos and Meganium down a tier and probably move Espeon up one.

I honestly can't find myself to really dislike any of the gen 2 mons.
They're a little bland, yeah.
But I can't say I outright hate or even really dislike any of their designs.
It's not like Gen 5 and on where I can say there are some that just don't like at all such as Emboar or Bruxish.
Maybe it's just my nostalgia, though.
