>>40164432I only played the original Silver, never tried HGSS, but I honestly really loved it! It was my first game
but I was already 17, got into Pokemon late so I was a bit confused about.. everything, really, but I remember quite clearly how much fun I was having. I liked the Pokemon, characters, music, towns, it was a nice experience overall!
As for gen 7, I remember during leak era I honestly thought it'd be the greatest Pokemon game in existence. We had lots of theory threads going on and with the information we had they all seemed so likely to happen. The Pokemon designs were great, the UBs were a fantastic addition, the human characters looked so interesting too, everything about gen 7 was so promising... And then we got "Change Lillie's Diaper Simulator". I don't think a Pokemon game has let me down as much as gen 7 has. The game itself was.. okay, but I honestly struggled to finish it because I really couldn't stand the story and cutscenes. Besides that, I also thought trials would be a nice change but it was just "haha the hiker doesn't belong in the photo, how silly! :^)"
So yeah, gen 7 had great potential wasted on literal nothingness.
