How the fuck do I beat these places? I've been trying every couple of months for two years and I still only have 3/7 Gold Symbols. Also general Frontier/Challenge thread I guess.

Well you're using shitmons, so you're handicapping yourself. If you want to dominate, get the hoenn pseudos (metagross and salamence) and then maybe throw on a lati@s for good measure.
But for Battle Factory you'll just need to git gud i guess.

I have them already, they don't work. Unless I restat them and give them different EVs and roll for better IVs, they've proven to be ineffective in the standard rules of Arena. I use a BoltBeam Calm Mind Latios and a Adamant Metagross with Meteor Mash, EQ, Explosion and Aerial Ace. For Salemence, I use Fly, Return, Hyper Beam and Brick Break.
