I'd prefer to stay in lore and buff Slow Start, something like
-Doesn't chop ATK so at least gigas can be a slow wallbreaker
-Each turn count gives gigas reduces the slow speed
-Slow Start also doubles as clear body so it can't be indimidated or phazed out
-Regigigas can learn Skill Swap to make the opposing mon extremely slow.

If they wanted to keep the "Awakening Giant" theme, they should make it so that it's stats are normal when switching in, but will gain a large increase after the five turns.
