It's a show/game for kids at its core. It's not supposed to be realistic. It's supposed to make kids feel like they accomplished some great task that no one else in Kanto could do. In reality, the police would've gotten involved, that town's gym leader and the people who train under them, or maybe even the E4 and Champion (like Lance did in gen 2) depending on how serious the situation was but since it's a show/game for kids, it has to be the kid that saves the day.

I liked Origins period.

It amazing how you pretty much can't say you liked something related to Pokémon on vp without getting shunned by a couple of retarded incels whose sad lives dont let them enjoy anything.

OS was cool, but Johto part was trash. DP was cool. BW was kind of mediocre. Origins was good. XY was cool. SM was slow at first but it has a lot of really good episodes. Generations was meh, way too short. Movie 20 was bad, but Movie 21 was fucking amazing.

I liked Johto. It was full of filler episodes and that's what I want to see. I couldn't care less about Ash's retarded trainer and gym battles. I want to see the pokemon and more about how the pokemon world works.

The thing with Giovanni is that nobody realized that the leader of Team Rocket was the final Gym Leader. And it makes sense. He's the strongest gym leader, which already grants him good pr, and considering the amount of money needed to research and develop Mewtwo, he's clearly well off as well. He's a mob/yakuza/triad /whatever you care for boss who's good at making sure no one could connect his public image with the one of organized crime. And it was successful until a certain meddling child genius happened to wander in.

That's true. I was talking about Team Rocket in general, though. Like when they took over Saffron City. The police and other strong trainers would be all over that if it were a realistic situation before Red even got to the city but since it's a story aimed at kids, it has to be Red who put a stop to it.
