This is what happens when things get viral/popular.

The first few videos were interesting, using complete shitmons like Magikarp or Weedle, which were compelling. Then copycats saw the amount of views they were getting and started producing these en masse.

Obviously they couldn't use the same mons because redundancy, so they started using other shitmons, until they ran out of shitmons and now they're doing stupid shit like "trade pokemon only" or beat X game with Y starter," which aren't hard at all and come down to grinding to level 100 to beat the league.

There are some good ones though, I like 360chrism with his no EXP challenges, those are fun to have in the background while I do something else.

It's not that bad. I think I ended the game with a level 82 Smeargle. Didn't really grind much desu since I used X items near the end.

The real challenge was trying to figure out what moves to copy to get through the next area safely.

Only the Ditto videos were interesting because each challenge is unique, depending on what Ditto transforms into. The Ditto video also had Gen I bugs and good humor to make it a fun watch. The gimmick of ditto is that overleveling does nothing but boost HP.

Every other shitmon video has been basically the same thing, overlevel and cheese the bosses. Things only get interesting at the E4 with the other shitmon runs, they might as well be "Can you beat [insert game] E4 with [shitmon]"

Ignored the developers private messages which was meant to talk things out with him. Then called the developer a liar until he proved that he tried to contact him. The developer apologized for making it public, Pikasprey didnt apologize for over-reacting or blaming the developer for things he did not do.

Hes an asshole who doesnt respect the people who make fan games that he plays on his channel. He only cares about himself.

Pikasprey specifically said that he's gonna noclip through the romhacks to make the videos more fun, because the first 15 minutes of a game are usually not very interesting, and often require nothing but grinding to proceed.

Yeah, I came out of Pikasprey's Video thinking that Coral is great, that I would greatly enjoy it, and I was under the impression that he gave it nothing but praise.

Alpharad is a bit guilty. The first couple of challenges got a ton of views, but mostly gathered views from people who were already fans of these poketubers and/or really into Pokemon.

Alpharad exposed these challenges to a much wider audience, which attracted a shit ton of viewers and motivated copycats to make even more shitty vids.

How he handled the situation. Corals dev politely said he wished he would've played through the demo. He wasnt telling him to do that or making demands, just said he would've preferred that. That made Pikasprey over react, play the victim that he was getting "harassed" over it and accused the developer for sending people to harass him (he didnt). Called the developer a liar claiming he didnt send private messages to him (he did). He can play through the game how he wants but to react like that just because the person who made it wishes their work was represented a little better is what an asshole would do.

The algorithm system is so bad. I was bombarded by those videos because I made the mistake of watching one. Happens with every new thing I watch.

It keeps recommending me stuff related to new channels I subscribe too and end up with over 200 channels I'm subbed too yet not getting any videos recommended from 3/4 of them.

That's fair but the Pokemon League literally looks and acts exactly the same as a Pokemon Center, except with an extra bit leading to the E4. The lobby has a Pokemon Center and a Mart. You can even trade there.
