Anime movies always have been shit since Sinnoh, so anime writers saved Alola to get a shitty movie and they added all legendary stuff into the regular anime instead.

Because the Sun & Moon anime was shit. Pokemon isn't meant to be slice of life, or at least the series we have now. Maybe if they decided to give Ash a year off and make a new MC for this part and made a mvie for it later....

But we know that GF only really cares about throwbacks to Gen 1 more than any of the others. ...It hurts being a Hoeen fan. Where are my trumpets?

I'd like to see them use the movies for something fresh honestly. Something like Origins or even an adventure series. I don't mean to sound like one of those pathetic antiash fags I just think it would reinvigorate interest in the movies and allow for some fresh material.
