>>40206358Well, played blue some years ago and had much fun, FR/LG was bit of a chore, playing more or less the same game again. Sevii Islands were a breath of fresh air.
Havent done much post-E4 stuff, not really sure if there even is much to do besides collecting those few new mons that appear.
Emerald is fun. Having to switch between bikes to get to different areas is annoying. I still have no idea why you cant see pokemon typing in pokedex. Currently beaten E4, trying to finish the regional dex best I can before visiting Battle Frontier. On the plot side having two teams to go against is a novel idea, as I understand Ruby/Sapphire only had you battle one team?
Battle Tents put a twist on battling aspect. I like the one you choose three random ones and swap them around as you win matches, good opportunity to play around with pokemons you don't plan to include in your team.
The one that has your pokemon battle on its own according to its nature isn't really for me. It doesent matter if your pokemon has good moves that can OHKO enemies if its nature makes it not want to use those moves, you basically have to get correct poke with correct moveset and correct nature to have a chance at beating it.
Didn't even visit the third tent, have to yet check out how contests work too.
From what I understand Battle Frontier is basically battle tent formats + some new formats thrown in. Now thats going to be a pain getting through that.
Also Latias is sleep-flying around Hoen right now.
After Blue years ago tried Gold, but didn't go very far, I remember unknown cave and shiny red Gyarados. This time around decided to skip gen2 and play HG/SS instead. But thats after I finish Emerald.
