The designs are always pretty great and they’re alright in terms of offense, but it’s definitely the worst defensive typing in the game. Ice types would be a lot better if they resisted grass, flying, ground, and dragon type moves.

That is soo true especially since almost every water type in existence can learn ice type moves (mostly ice beam) and not only that but I can guarantee that 90% of all ice type Pokemon are better off losing the ice type altogether.

you know, aside from the type chart a big factor with it was hail, especially how exclusive it was to ice type with too few benefits (rock types got a fucking 30% Sp Def boost ffs)

I was gonna say it would reduce super effective damage or something but this works too. (well, for everyone but Avalugg who likes being slower)
