Think in the Dynamax/Gigantamax not as a growth of the pokemon, but as an extension of the body or a spiritual mecha armor (something similar to what the tapus did with their exclusive Z-move). I liked this mechanic since the beginning, but with this concept I like it more now.
I hope to know more when the game comes out and explain where this energy comes from.
