Isn't changing a Pokemons nature kinda like brainwashing? I mean imagine if you were a brave pokemon and then suddenly your trainer says "nah, you're gonna be timid now."

This implies they couldnt do both. Are you seriously going to tell me they coudlnt just make natures non gameplay related and give pokemon something thta acts mechanically like natures and call it "fighting styles" or something? Its just lazy is what it is.
