Maybe the main theme could be between the struggle between the native culture and foreign culture (basically a way to represent civilization vs barbarism, unitaries vs federals, populism vs liberalism, that kind of stuff always clashed here), with some call backs to Kalos and Galar (the gym stuff would be closely similar to the last one).
I know no one would care for such a shithole of a country, but one can dream.
Brasil would be more interesting because of relevance, culture and nature tho. But, like Argentina, is way too big to be on itself a whole region.
