The one thing she was theoretically good for was using sandstorm to fuck up a particular battle's AI, because the AI is programmed to set up weather on its second turn. But if Acerola or someone else puts up weather ahead of the AI it wasn't programmed to adapt its strategy, so instead it would wait patiently for the player's weather to run out while everyone hit it for free
