We don't know if older Pokemon outside of regional variants can evolve into new Pokemon yet, anon. Farfetch'd is one of those Pokemon that doesn't have a confirmed Galarian form and it has not been shown in its actual form yet.

I didn't realize it but now that you mention it it's odd that we didn't see Koffin or Farfetch'd. I dunno I think kind of like this limited detail marketing they did for SS.

Koffing is fine because we have a precedent for older Pokemon that can still evolve further evolving into new regional variants. Exeggcute, Cubone, and Pikachu are all not fully evolved. Two are stone, and the third is level-up evolution, so there probably is normal Koffing in the game unless we suddenly get its Galarian form (I doubt it).

However, up until this point, Farfetch'd has been shown to be fully evolved. Game Freak doesn't want to retcon Eviolite, so they have made older Pokemon evolve only if those Pokemon were regional variants (such as Galarian Linoone). Same with Linoone. So probably Farfetch'd has a Galarian form we don't know about.

Why? OP wasn't asking for Galarian Shiinotic, but for an evolution for it.
I'm all in, btw. I love Morelull, but Shiinotic didn't quite hit me. Maybe a 3rd form would catch my interest again.

Here comes my little theory...

In gen 7, morelull was found in the alola region in deep forests. But morelulls looked out of place. There was no magic in the air, no glow, no mushrooms.
Morelull is actually an ALIEN species to the Alola region (that's also why they are rare), as they are native to the Glimwood Tangle in Galar.
Here, surrounded by magic and mystery, they can unlock their true potential, and evolve further.

This also plays in the whole "regional" stuff, as Morelull would, along with Zigzagoon, be a pokemon that was NOT native to the region they were introduced in

This makes sense and I hate it. It's literally worse than not getting anything, because it means the motherfucker will never get an evolution but rather a momentary gimmick that will be removed next gen anyway.

My first shiny encounter was a breloom in the battle pyramid. Ended up hatching a shiny shroomish at the BF a few years later.

Mushrooms of different kinds can be pretty good, pic very related.
