>>40241685Oh yes, the development of climate-change-fighting technologies (renewable energy, emission-reducing tech, ect) and getting people to be more environmentally conscious are SO useful to someone who wants to control the populace.
You know what isn't useful? Fossil fuels. It's not like the people are hopelessly addicted to them 'cause they're currently absolutely essential for modern life to function. It's not like people aren't willing to literally go to war over perceived threats to their access to fossil fuels. It's not like people haven't built giant empires of wealth on fossil fuels. No, the most economically sane and best play for someone who wants control over a populace, is *definitely* to manufacture a reason to get off of fossil fuels and slowly force the world off of them and onto sources of energy that they can acquire by erecting structures in their own backyards, which *removes the effect fossil fuels have on their lives.*
My friend, 'climate change is a lie' is a lie, to control the right wing. Literally why would someone throw away not only their best money-maker, but also the best excuse they have to start a war?
