I'll humor you and assume you're implying I'm a hypocrite and hating on Turner but not Masuda.
Difference is, kiddo, with Turner as art director, we're seeing bullshit like a giant pile of creme pokemon that shoots jizz at you when it's friendly, and a teapot ghost that lets you suck on it when you're friendly. Far more egregious offenses of the "but it has to be real!" line than the random spikes and bits of overdesign in previous generations.
Turner is a hack. There are less and less monster-like designs that inspire wonder. Nowadays, everything is an objectmon, an animal with a lazy visual theme and simple colors, or some kind of creepy fetish fulfilling mon.
Gone are the monsters like Nidoking, Gyarados, Mawile, Altaria, Aggron, Absol, Drapion,Eelektross, and Bisharp. Ambiguous looking mons with subtle references to ideas, and myths. They may not have had a basis in reality, but they were still cool creature designs and were approved. But in Turner's pokemon, he says one thing and delivers the worst possible aspects of the exact opposite of what he said.
