Well, we ended up taking on the E4 and N/Ghetsis and this is what we were left with

The E4 went incredibly smooth, some minor bumps here and there, but nothing major or fatal, Monique ended up being what I needed for Marshal (but I boxed him when I got to N's Castle)

N went well until he sent out his Archeops which ended up killing Soup, but we made it out with 5/6 Pokemon alive so I feel like I can't complain too hard about that

Ghetsis tho, that one was rough, I ended up pushing Fluffy the Reshiram as far as I could, which amounted to killing Cofagrigus and gimping Bouffalant with paralysis before croaking to poison damage
Then out came Hydreigon, which ended up killing both Eyyo Sup? and Häagen-Dazs and i thought it would be the end, but Akihiko, king among kings, tanked a fuckin' Focus Blast and ended up running a Moxie-induced train on the rest of Ghetsis' team snagging us the win

I've seen people say that the true ending to BW1 is the second E4 and fight with Alder, but I feel that the final Ghetsis fight suffices as a satisfactory end to a run

I'm back again, the previous BW2 Cagelocke has been put on hold till that partner has the time to continue. However another friend challenged me to a BW cagelocke so here we go for now.

Things haven't gone well for him. He already had a wipe out and has to start over while I comfortably wait for him at the second gym.

Just defeated Viola and earned my first badge, yay. Caught Abortion Cub after my win.
Before fighting in the gym me and my team went to train inroute 3, and a Dunsparce using Roll almost killed Beelzebub and Lola. She survived at 1 HP. I would have shit myself if she died in that way.

In Pearl I ended up catching Barboach in a bunch of different locations (Ravaged Path, Eterna City, Route 208 etc) because I wanted to find the best Barboach to put on my team cuz I really wanted to use one and I didn't have anything else I would rather catch on those routes
Then someone remarked that seeing all those Barboaches in my box was pretty hilarious and I was dared to use full team of them, which after several long hours of EV training and grinding I did

In Soul Silver I figured that I only really needed one Quagsire to win against Red (and one Electrode which unfortunately died to his Pikachu setting up the win condition), so it really didn't matter what else I brought, so I just brought the other Quagsire which I had caught (and an Ursaring for Rock Climb which Quagsire doesn't learn)

First gym down in White, unfortunately we lost Dijon the Tepig which comes as a harsh blow since he was my plan to take down Lenora, but we'll just have to think of something else

Also, playing this on my Japanese White cartridge since I couldn't find my English one, back from the days where Japan got the games over half a year ahead of the rest of the world. Don't think there's gonna be any issues despite me not knowing a damn word of Japanese, but it was fun having to google just how to change the damn settings :^) (Japanese BW has one extra setting regarding written language, so I couldn't just refer to my English Black)

Personally I'd say if you're able to catch it legally then go ahead, but I tend to stay away from legendaries that are Uber in their generation, so something like Articuno would be ok, but I'd probably not use Ho-oh

To keep a long story short. Cagelockes are a version of versus Nuzlockes. The two people playing have to do a match after each gym leader vs each other as well. They both send in 1 pokémon and the losing mon dies while the winning mon gets a reward: TM usage, held item, 1 revive. Each Pokémon can only be used twice in a cagematch however. The person with the most cagematch wins, wins the cagelocke.

As was expected, Lenora managed to take down a member of our team, I swear that fight is totally fucking coconuts
I led with Monki, because that Intimidate from her Herdier was gonna gimp all three of my Pokemon anyway so might as well. It used Take Down and brough me to a little over half health, I went for the risk and it did not pay off, it ended up kamikaze-ing itself with a last Take Down
Watchog went much better, sent out Chère and she hit him with that hot nasty 5-hit Rock Blast which was just enough to take it out

I was about to go grind for Blaine, when I realized I forgot about Saffron, as I usually do. I decided to actually do the gyms in order this time, so I had to save Silph Co. I grabbed the Key card, went to fight my rival, and I forgot his Octillery knew Aurora Beam and it Crit Gatling in the face, killing him instantly.Well, at least HK and GAU-8 were able to take down Sabrina with no effort.

So I applied this ips: https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=326301

and then I randomized. It threw out errors for TM and Move tutor compatibility(I had them set to prefer same type) and when I turned those off it worked. It's randomized (I got a dragonite and my rival got a poliwhirl with volt absorb), I'll wait and see when I get a move if the PSS is there.

Hell you can say that about Max Potions and Max Repels too. In most games your team isn't going to get too far from the 200 HP mark by endgame to justify Max over Hyper, and Max Repels have a cost of 2.8P per step compared to Supers' 2.5P, so a ton of Maxs will last you less than the amount of Supers you can get for the same price

Took me awhile to get a move that was supposed to be changed, but I finally did and it appears that the split did work.

The fairy type doesn't seem to be working. On Route 1 I encountered a Gardevoir and Twister worked on it.

I catch them but don't count them. They just become boxdwellers. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about reshiram/zekrom but If I nuzlocked them I would spam potions on it until it died and continue as normal. You'd have to attack once with it though but whatever.

It's league time bitches. I love my team and have faith they can pull through. Just beat Malva with little issue, my boi Tobias kicking ass with Surf [and Goodra sitting around taking hits] despite the harsh sunlight. Hope the rest go just as well.

I plan on rare candying a little bit after the E4 [who are all 80-82 in level; Diantha is 85-87] rather than grinding to 85 before fighting the E4, to make them more evenly matched.

After a long day of grinding through the game we have decided to take a rest for the night at Mistralton city. The teams have changed, some for the worse and some for the better.

On my side there were no hiccups the entire day. I only lost one pokémon as a sack off in the fifth cage match. On the other hand the death box for my friend will tell you how his day has been.

Solid hack desu, easily on par [maybe even above] Drayano hacks in terms of scariness.

Tropius has been an absolute mvp throughout this run, he got buffed to 97/93/97 bulk and 93 physical attack, along with Aerilate. My only issue with it is that they didn't give him Leaf Blade by levelup [mine got an eggmove bonus for surviving the previous region] so he's out of luck for grass stab, but the romhacker plans to add that in a future update. Octillery also got a nice buff by nerfing its physical attack and buffing it to 95/95/95 bulk so he's been solid too.

Leafgreen is done! I'm gonna be honest with you, HK41 carried this team hard. How hard? She was the only pokemon of mine that saw battle until Lance. Hell, she almost solo'd Lance too, but his Dragonite nearly killed her with a Crit Outrage, so I had to send in a meat shield so she wouldn't die. Funnily enough, Mauser was the meat shield I picked and the Outrage she tanked infatuated the Dragonite, ending Outrage early. I was gonna try to KO Octillery with GAU-8, since he was just in battle to kill Exeggutor with Fly, but I remembered what >>40256777 predicted, and I went out to HK41, who ate the Ice Beam that had replaced Aurora Beam and would have killed GAU-8. I'm almost done with Gen 3, and now I have to try to figure out why DesMuMe seems to hate me.

It's not THAT bad. You do have to wait a bit for a Shiny Stone to evolve Floette, but IIRC you can get one from doing Super Training.

Just finished the E4. No deaths among them! Basic rundown:

Lead Delphox and Goodra. Delphox took out the Typhlosion. Octillery came in after that bc I couldn't touch the Heatran and just Surf spammed, using Goodra's turns to heal. Also Malva was kinda dumb and tried to use Will-O on her own teammate multiple times lol.

>Drasna
Octillery took down the Salamence, Noivern and Mega Char X [the latter with some help from lucky moody boosts]. Zoroark handled the Latias and cheesed the Scarf Hydreigon. Delphox ohko'd the Dragalge.

>Wikstrom
Mega Scizor got a SD up and Rock Smashed things, mostly towards the end. Tropius and Delphox helped with the Aegislash and Klefki.

>Siebold
Mega Scizor, Octillery and Goodra basically slayed. Octillery got good moody rolls and Energy Balled shit. I gave Mega Scizor Cut [50bp, grass type, always crits] for the fight and he got a SD up and slayed. Goodra just kinda took hits and also killed the Kingdra.

G fucking G. This game was hard, but not as many deaths as I expected. It's the first game in which I actually regretted not having Set Mode on because I imagine that would've made a HUGE difference in gameplay.

Well, final leg incoming, and I fully expect it to utterly obliterate me. Photonic Sun is literal hell in the form of a Pokemon game. Do I even want to bring up the lvl 100 Ultra Necrozma [who summons a lvl 91 Naganadel] fight? No, not really. Can't wait ;-;

Everything's been going well. Plus this was the best gym battle yet, easily.

Mightyena and Hariyama always die. Same with Manectric, but I'm hoping to break the curse this time. The only time I ever took Camerupt to Steve, it lived but only because Metagross raised it's attack with Meteor Mash and I had to rely on Pelipper instead, who managed to barely make it.

That's Norman down in Alpha Sapphire. A Toxic/Protect Pelipper trolls the Slaking, but I used Combusken against Vigoroth. The second Slaking's Retaliate very nearly OHKOed my Pelipper, but he lives to fight another day. This game is so much easier than RSE. I think it's partially the nerfs to the enemy teams but mostly reusable TMs and better learnsets. Gen 3's learnsets were awful which was most of the game's challenge, learning to deal with your shitty movepool.

I also managed to actually get a Baltoy, but it's pretty shit. However, since I've never used one, it's staying for now. I did encounter Geodude through Rock Smash first, but honestly, I treat that the same way as Snorlax in XY where it can be ignored since it's forced, albeit Geodude isn't guaranteed. I do this more for the sake of fun, it's boring as fuck getting another Geodude, one of the most boring Pokemon of all time, rather than getting something interesting from the desert.

I don't really like pure defensive boosts in nuzlockes because they're begging for you to get crit. Calm Mind could help very late game though to boost my attacking power. Might be my only option against Mega Metagross, if it gets that far. Could set up Calm Minds against Aggron or some shit. I dunno.

For a Water type I'm waiting till I can catch Frillish so Panpour, Tirtouga and Ducklett are out
I've already got a Psychic on my team so Munna and Solosis are out
I've got two Normal types on my team which excludes Patrat, Pidove and Minccino
That leaves Blitzle which I'm not a huge fan of, Darumaka which has a debilitating nature (and I really dislike to begin with so no skin off my back), Yamask which isn't too useful since it has Shadow Ball and not much else and Swadloon which I don't foresee being too useful

Better to focus my efforts to three mons and have them gain a couple of extra levels than to spread myself too thin and end up suffering because of it

The cagematch was close. Ho-oh missed two fire blasts which allowed Groudon to rest stall for a win. However because Ho-oh won a previous cagematch and I picked revive as the reward I can still use ho-oh, just no longer in a cagematch.
The underdog has become the star, as anyone can look at my team and box. I have no answer to Groudon and he can still use it one more time in a cagematch. If he wins the last match the score will become 5 - 3, meaning he can still win the cagematch after the elite four by winning the last cagematch for 6 points.
As for myself, while grinding on my own to prepare for the last gym I decided to scour the entire region for any missed items and catching Cobalion & Verizion. Hoping I could get something to give me a fighting chance. Sadly the legendary pokemon and two fossils I found didn't end up being usefull. On the other hand the second to last item I was able to find ended up being a shiny stone. Perhaps with my now evolved Togekiss I can do something.

Yeah, to a degree. Best way to handle it is to tank the hits though, since you don't have access to such strong moves yet.

Life is tough out here. I spend hours damage calculating everything on groudon and found out Togekiss should win. Anything else loses to it. So I made my plan and prepared.
On the other hand my friend didn't look at my box at all, still thought I could use ho-oh in a cagematch even though I already used it twice and send in Rayquaza with waterfall.

Rayquaza flinched Togekiss twice with 20% waterfall so it was pretty much over.

Going to the Elite Four now and honestly I don't think I stand a chance against a Groudon AND Rayquaza for the 6v6 match. This is an underdog story to say the least for my friend.

For anyone rooting for the underdog, you got your winner.
During the final cagematch things went my way well. The plans I had worked out however in the end I missed one megahorn which would have finished the game up.
After that all I could do was stall with Walrein, but as I have now learned. Walrein can't stall a Slowbro because Slowbro still does 31% with psychic. 7 or 8 crunches later with Garchomp and not a single defense drop. Slowbro simply kept using slack off and whittled my team down.

We're going to start a Soul Link next, probably tomorrow. We'll see how long I can sane through that considering his death box count.

Flabébé is one of those Nuzlocke mons that might be better off sitting in the PC until a bit later, then catching it back up when you can easily evolve it with a Shiny Stone. Flabebe itself is ridiculously weak and frail, and Floette is not exactly too buff either. Level 19 Floette means Flabébé isn't too bad to raise, but still, the risk of dying before that, or even as Floette, is kinda unnerving.
Florges, on the other hand, is an absolute monster that eats anything specially inclined for dinner. If you manage to get your Flabébé to become one you will be very unlikely to lose it.

If Roogey manages to survive until then, I'm in a very good position since Pelipper craps all over Flannery and can potentially solo Norman with Protect shenanigans.
Pelipper is unironically ridiculously good in RSE.
Wingull can take out Roxanne with some luck, beats Brawly straight up, has a good matchup against Flannery and Norman, can be kitted out to do well vs Winona as well, and is fairly solid against the league as well(but not stellar).
Haven't used a Pelipper in ORAS at any point, but I suspect it is even better there, considering Roost.

This totem has been terrifying me ever since I landed on Akala. I had two ideas when it came down to it: either lead Zoroark and thief the thick club, or lead Primarina and reflect.

I went the Zoroark plan because Primarina was gonna get oneshot by Shadow Bone if it didn't Detect turn 1. Zoroark could take a Shadow Bone, or if it did Detect, I expect the Salazzle would've Toxic'd [since Venoshock wouldn't do much and Flame Burst is resisted].

It worked out, but Primarina still cut it close.. very close. If the Marowak had protected on my z-move. If the Salazzle had Venoshock'd instead of Toxic'ing. Holy fuck.

[also Delphox came in and finished the salazzle with an ez Psyshock 1shot]

Well.. that was[n't] fun, but at least no deaths to it. Fuck that thing. Next up will be Lurantis.. hoping Tropius can handle.

E4 went very smoothly, Azure took care of Shauntal and Caitlin, Vajra made quick work of Grimsley and Runique defeated Marshal without much issue

N's Reshiram I discovered is almost completely walled by a Jellicent, so Bella was able to set up while occasionally using Recover which made the fight a joke

Ghetsis ended similarly, his Cofagrigus could barely do anything to Azure, resisting both Toxic and Psychic, meaning it only had Protect and Shadow Ball at its disposure, so we managed to set up a little until Azure was at half health, and then we swept his entire team!

The Johto Crusade has reached the pivotal final battle. Three Primarchs, one of the Death Guard's most promising warriors, A warp-spawned xeno abomination (it's okay when the Emperor approves), and some singer who likes to pal around with the Emperor's Children. ANYWAY
The general battle plan will be so:

Enslaver: Point-mon, open with Toxic Spikes, tank a hit, then stay or withdraw as needed.

Astartes Decius: the sacrificial lamb to eat Gengar's Destiny Bond, but before that a healer for status effects with Aromatherapy in the unlikely event things get too hairy to waste items.

Primarch Corvus: Defensive support. Also Fly spammer as necessary.

Primarch Ferrus: The tank, crusher of weaklings and squishy DEF opponents.

Primarch Curze: raw DPS. Kneel before his Psyker Power.

Bequa: Emotional Support. Also combat specialist to cover areas the others can't.

Getting started on an Uber Randomizer(basically everything you can think of is randomized) on Emerald, and it's already getting pretty nutty.

The lady before Petalburg Woods had a Lugia that would've easily swept my team had Glenn not been an absolute unit. At the time, Glenn had a pitiful spatk stat, so basically anything I did to this thing was no damage. So I had to make my way through with Supersonic and Protect.

Once I had ran out of potions and Glenn had 1 HP left, I had no choice but to switch to one of my low levels, which ended up in Le Ogre's sacrifice. SOMEHOW, Oingo pulled through and saved the day, and now we're here.

Now I'm ready to fight Roxanne. My team seems overleveled for sure. But from past experience, on an uber randomizer, "overleveled" is simply not a thing.

No idea what I'm in for, but let's see what happens.

Overtime, I've been somewhat reworking one I've had from ...Pokemon Black, I think.
The basic look probably took half an hour(once I knew how I wanted it to look, deciding on what to keep and change takes a bit longer), but adding the little icons with Gym Leaders and the like takes a good chunk of time, especially in games with tons of Gym Leaders and Villain Team encounters. GSC are a pain compared to the others for this particular reason.

Roxanne gave me a scare with her lead having dragon rage, but it was pretty underwhelming otherwise.

On the road to Dewford we took another casualty. Because it just so happened that rock slide is an ice type move, which hit Guts for 4x damage(Guts was Grass/Flying), so go figure.

Jim Rustle is my favorite newcomer so far. He's a glass cannon with great attack and Huge Power of all things. But being a glass cannon I have to be careful if I want to keep him alive. So far though, he's definitely pulling his weight.

Also, Deidre the Mareep evolved into a Victreebel, with a WAY better ability and stats. Just like Jim Rustle, though, she's now a glass cannon and I have to be careful with using her.

Brawly was also pretty easy, save for his Togetic, which almost one-shotted Glenn with Cross Chop. Again, Supersonic + Protect shenanigans saved the day.

Wattson is next. Here's hoping that he won't be too much of an issue.

Things have been going up and down. We lost three pokemon because of me this time. Two to a Steelix and Hoppip during grinding. At least we've gotten past Jubilife City's team Galactic double battle this time and even managed to beat Mars. We have our fingers crossed on getting a bigger team.

Nothing special has really happened so far, as it's just been Glenn, Jim Rustle and Deidre cleaning up the game.

Caught a lot of stuff, including a Kakuna which is pretty much going to evolve into something random in one level.

I also decided to give Mista a break so I could train Lil' Pump with an Exp Share, because I feel that I'm going to need to level up my boxed pokemon for what's coming after Norman. I'll probably be rotating the rest of my team like this just for safety.

Well, the fight against Burgh ended up being hairier than I thought, but we ended up snagging the badge unscathed in the end!
My strategy was to get a Rollout combo going with Gooped, having switched the Eviolite unto him for the fight, but it ended up taking three turns to take out Dwebble (resulting in a few too many rocks to the face) and Karrablast hit us with a hot, nasty Aerial Ace which brought us down to about 20HP. Thankfully the fourth Rollout missed so that I could switch over to Zazazazaza, who ended up taking out Karrablast, Shelmet (who only used Curse the whole time) and Leavanny, barely making it out thanks to Leftovers

Don't use regular DeSmuMe. OpenEmu runs faster I've found and doesn't interfere with the efficiency of your other open programs as much. Note that it's harder to enter AR codes and such on OpenEmu.

OpenEmu's primary advantage disregarding all that is you can play RBY through B2W2 on the same emulator and don't need to save before quitting. You can also emulate the Stadium games on OE as well. No word on Colosseum and XD, though.

E4 rematches etc were a breeze once all the grinidng was done. Crobat gets significantly better once you can get your hands on TM36.

As for Emerald, the early blessings of Adamant Torchic + Shroomish as well as getting a Ralts are now being offset by the shitmon I'm being dealt (fucking Thick Fat on Marill, of course)

Just kicked Totem Togedemaru's ass. The plan was basically to lead Alolan Raichu [which resisted everything it had] to put a Reflect up and see what came out. Did that, stupid thing missed Iron Head too thanks to Bright Powder so that was nice. Skarmory came out, so Alolan Marowak swapped in and handled things from there with Bonemerang and Flame Charge.

Bounce was mildly annoying, esp once the reflect wore off [stupid thing Spiky Shielded every other turn and I had to heal at some point] but Ivory handled pretty well, I think. Raichu came back in to clean up the Skarm.

Again, fuck this game, but hey I'm managing. Still upset about Delphox and Primarina dying earlier though ;;

Next up is.. oh fuck oh god Mimikyu-

I have Judy use Thunder, and I get incredibibly lucky- Milotic gets struck with Paralysis, and full paralysis prevent it from doing anything, and a second Thunder takes Milotic out.
