Fuck, I’m not the type to get mad about these things since it’s just a game, but this news definitely disappoints. I was keeping my expectations realistic since I’ve felt the magic be gone from the 3d games, (Even BW2, to an extent) but these news are a let down. I mean, at the end of the day, it’s gamefreak’s game so they can do whatever the hell they want with it, but Christ the standards of straight up blurring the truth along with less than arguable explanations for controversial decisions regarding longtime features, is disheartening to see. The games, at the end of the day, will be Pokémon games who many people spent time, effort, and passion making, and as much as I dislike a lot of the decisions being made with this game, it would be stupid not to acknowledge that. But at the core of it all, this precedent of not being transparent with their direction or decisions definitely demonstrates Gamefreak’s lack of confidence with their own products. I am not trying to advocate for people to boycott or buy the game, but rather them be objective with the facts that have been given of this product, regardless of direction. I want to write more, but I don’t want this to become a blog post so I’ll leave it at that.
