My sexuality isn't typically the first thing I address people with (aside from my last post, anyway) because it's not the most important thing about my identity. I just can't take a character seriously if their whole schtick is being a sexuality. I don't gain interest in characters like that and don't see it as positive representation. To answer your question though, I can't even name one bi character in a show that is character first with their existence having little to do with their sexuality. I can see why people headcanon a character to be something they're not. But if the creator says a character is straight, it's just dumb to insist your headcanon is correct.
