In reality, evolution levels, location, and stats totals should be linked. As in shit like Tyranitar not evolving fully until Level 90 and starters not fully evolving until 50.
Also, the entire experience system should re-balanced to be more realistic where you acquire most of the experience between 10 - 60 (like 60% of the experience). When you learn a new skill it's hard to get going but easier to get along the more you practice. RPG leveling systems steadily increasing requirements has always been an eyesore.
Especially in Pokémon where it makes middle stages basically useless because you see them for 10 minutes and then have the final stage when you haven't even completed half the game in the case of starters and only makes shit like bottle caps a grind for the sake of grind. Would feel much better if the last 40 levels were a more static amount needed that could be quickly grinded away with the games balanced to get you to 60 by playing it.
