>>40267127>get rid of galarian formsI like regional variants. They're usually really fun twists on old ideas and I really want them to stay, but they seem very arbitrary. Like, why aren't Alolan Cubone and Galarian Koffing a thing? If I would in charge, each member of a line that has a regional variant would get a regional counterpart.
>get rid of overworld encountersCompletely disagree, this is one of the biggest QOL improvements as of late.
>create 100+ new pokemonThat aren't regional variants? Sure, but I'm also okay with Gen 6 - 7's quality over quantity mindset. 80 - 85 would be great for me.
>bring back the national dexAgreed. Honestly, this is more important to me than state-of-the-art graphics or new animations, personally.
>bring back megasI'd be fine with Megas being on a turn limit like Dynaxing / Gigantamaxing, giving Pokemon without a Mega Stone or a Mega Evolution a "Mega Aura" or something to boost their stats temporarily, and retconning all Gigantamax forms into new Mega evolutions. Taking the best aspects of Megas and Dynamaxing / Gigantamaxing would be ideal, as they both have their appealing aspects.
>bring back z-movesSure. Make it so that Megas / Mega Aura Pokemon have the option to execute them, at the cost of immediately reverting back to their normal state at the end of their next turn. Give Pokemon the ability to execute either their normal moves or any Z-Moves that match their typing (unless they're holding a Z-Crystal, in which case they can execute Z-Moves for that type as long as they know at least one move with that typing. For example, a Butterfree holding Psychium-Z and knowing Confusion can use Shattered Psyche). Also, make 36 standard Z-Moves, 2 for each type, one Physical and one Special, with a common Base Power or Base Power formula for all of them.
