>>40265755Because Pokémon is primarily a monster collecting franchise and the one thing it had over others in the genre was always having all Pokémon accessible.
Without it (and with the new designs in Turner's shit hands to boot), it has NOTHING on other series. If you want a monster collecting game there is no reason to not pick up something else now because they're all better in every other way now that Game Freak intends to dumb them down to their standards on the monster front.
