Was excited to play this cus as a kid my earliest experience was gen 3, boy this limited selection of Pokémon fucking sucks

the limited pokemon selection is actually one of my favorite parts of the game. First time I actually had fun completing the pokedex since FRLG.

I might have cared more about this game if they had done this. The fact that both remakes don't allow you to use the crossgens is stupid.

I mean, that's Gen I for you. There wasn't a National Dex of 250 or even 200. It was really capped at just 151.

I am aware of it in FRLG where you can, but the fact you can't use them during the main game sucks. At least HGSS and ORAS let you use some of them. Should have been all of them, but it's better than none.

It would have still been a relatively small pokedex of 183 pokemon, 18 Forms and 17 Megas
Really wasted opportunity
