Which Gen anesthetics do you like the most? For me it would be 2ne Gen and the game colour. It's just looks so beautiful.

2nd gen has the nicest looking battle screen since the sprites look so good (both front and back), but I find the overworld a bit lacking unless you're in a city at night. IMO gen 3 would be nicest if its pokemon sprites had a bit more oomph. With a few exceptions every pokemon looks best with its gen 2 sprite.

Gen 2 has a great overworld, but I like gen 3 onward's battle scenes. Just a tad bit of color or a circle on the ground would be improvement enough.

Gen 2, 4 and 5. Gen 2 makes a perfect use of it's limitations, both in colors and sound, and has a unique charm. In the DS games, sometimes you just have to stop and admire how comfy the surroundings are. The others games sometimes can be incredibly ugly.

I love how gen 2 looks on the TV. I think I played it through Stadium 2. I never had to worry about it being too dark so I got to see the morning and nighttime in all their glory. Also, the sprites are so good.

little known fact about the scene from OP's pic: if you cheat and use walk through walls to talk to silver from any other direction than the one that's normally possible, you can move silver from his returning position. you can even escort him to route 27 if you fuck around enough

Yeah, I really loved Crystal's animated sprites. I wish Emerald went in a similar direction instead of just a second frame for everyone Pokemon along with different animation effects.

The dark type already exists in the spaceworld Demo, in which Larvitar is absent. So, Dark came before Larvitar.

Though it could have been Rock/Bug and they just decided it was Bug enough so they made it Dark, regardless of timing.

gen 2 4 and 5 and with 5 it's mostly b/w2 aesthetic that I like. The starting island is the best beginning of the game in Pokemon imo
