Doubt he gets that much traffic, especially out of the hype season. Serebii is more popular with hardcore fanbase, but bulbapedo is definitely much bigger with normies, especially since it's the first thing to pop in on google when looking for shit. Plus ads aren't that lucrative. You get like 10 cents for a view if not less

Realistically how many people would pay for an app with just pokemon info? Especially since they can run it on their browser apps just fine. How often do you go "ah shit I could really go for some pokemon facts right now"? Not often. Even if you do you'd be in a massive minority. Tons of times I'm on my DS away from my computer or playing an emulated game full screen and I'd much rather just be able to go directly to the site as opposed to phone internet browsing, which is cancer, or changing windows. It's obviously not a HUGE deal by any means, but a small convenience for a buck? I wouldn't mind. Now other people? Who knows.
