Oh hey. I just remembered that blue pelican Pokemon who eats fish exists. I guess it's probably the least interesting Pokemon revealed so far.

Yes, this is what they call "cartoon-izing a mishmash of colors formed by feathers with no specific design," you dingus. And if we apply your logic to Cramorant, then it's definitely not just "literally my mom's cormorant" because its light blue feathers actually resemble a bib.

I'd be a LOT more interested if it wasn't yet another fucking water/flying type. I really like the design, but I can't imagine it being even remotely interesting beyond its gimmick with Surf.

OP can only see distinction in superficialities. Like Toucannon, this bird has behavioural characteristics (voracity, and firing that fish like a missile) that make it more distinct than perhaps its appearance does. It seems like a general trend, since early gen birds don't have much personality; so OP should learn to engage a bit more thoughtfully with newer Pokemon lest he comes across as an unthinking retard.

Funnily enough, its Flying/Water. This has pretty much no practical effect and seems to have mostly gone overlooked, but being one of the extremely few primary Flying types does offer it some sort of inconsequential distinction.
