How much do you know about Monster Hunter? not meant to be insulting, just asking. Valstrax is, conceptually, pretty similar to Ray. It's a giant fuck off dragon spoken of only in legends that lives near, if not in, the stratosphere, only descending occasionally. You even fight him in a place that's on the edge of space. It's like valstrax's theme was MADE for ray. But now I wonder what reshirams would be to go along with it.

Yeah however Rayquazas mystical properties and power to me fit Fatalis more, also going musical wise, White Fatalis theme really suites Rayquaza because Rayquaza is pretty much by the community the Fatalis of Pokemon in terms of raw power and strength. I just mean the rocket wings of Zygarde 100% and Bird like face, even though Zekrom fits Valstrax better in design and theme, Rayquaza is vastly different than Valstrax and is more like Amatsu with the powerful properties of Ray.

Also, Black Flame of Calamity [Dire Miralis] fits for Primal Groudon and Moonquake [Ceadeus] is a match for Primal Kyogre. The third gen elder themes are really good matches for the third gen box legends.

Sparking Blue Light [Zinogre] is perfect for Mega Manectric, though.

I'm almost positive that Mega Manectric's design started as a really, really dumbed down version of Zinogre.
Likewise, I suspect that Megas Aerodactyl and Sceptile started as dumbed down versions of Rathian and Nargacuga, respectively, only difference is that those two actually ended in roughly the same place. Compare Pink Rathian to a shiny Mega Aerodactyl or Green Nargacuga to Mega Sceptile.

fr though, mess around with different equipment and weapon types and see what makes things go better. Don't be afraid to hop into a turns lobby and get help if you still can't do it. Lastly, and most importantly, you have to remember you're playing as a retard with a sharp stick/big rock against a hyper-evolved killing machine. Treat them with an appropriate amount of caution and don't get greedy. Attack when you can, sheathe and run away when you can't. You'll kinda get it down as you go.
