We still would have had Blastoise. Blastoise was originally part of a separate evolution line, but they merged the two turtle lines together by scrapping Wartortle's original evo and Blastoise's original pre-evo.

I like both blastoise and this version, even though I think this version looks way too much like wartortle and needs something else going on. Charizard is a charmeleon with wings, Venusaur is an ivysaur with a(bigger) flower, this blastoise is a wartortle with _____

I like the idea of wartortle evolving into a neptune/poseidon kind of figure. Kind of redundant now with empoleon but it would have been cool when it first came out. Cannons are cool too.

Final evos typically involve a pretty radical change, and that just looks like Wartotle went through puberty. What a stupid idea. If OP had any sense he'd delete this thread.

I saw a blastoise edit that gave him a wartortle-fluff beard and it sat on a big "cloud" made out of its huge fluffy tail. It had a Zeus look but I cant find it to save my life.
