Yeah, those animations that "never got used" except YES they did get fucking used because everytime a Pokemon walks in SM or USUM they use those animations and then they went ahead and used them for the following Pokemon in LETS GO and now the overworld Pokemon in SwoShi and also when they walk around in Masters.

You know there are walking animations for all the Pokemon in the Galar Dex right? Not to mention all of them in Let's Go and any future games. They're being used.

Any pokemon that can be caught in Galar is likely going to use walking and running animations, because overworld enocunters.
pre-release marketing doesn't mean anything. It's marketing. Not to mention, the marketing side of things is mostly TPC and Nintendo. I don't think GameFreak actually has much to do with the marketing outside of approving what they want or don't want to show pre-release.
I'd prefer more trainer customization options than more of the same old pokemon. Fashion options are always welcome in any video game. I encourage it. Do it more.

Classic Game Freak,putting lots of effort where people aren't likely to notice. All the Unown have different idle animations and Pokémon amie reactions,for example. Pokémon amie has just better animations in general
