IIRC almost all of the dex had been officially revealed before lunch, to the point that just few things like some UBs and Crabominable were discovered via piracy before lunch.
But they've been doing this since gen6. ORAS were officially 100% fully spoiled before launch.

Before release they did an interview explaining the deluge and how constant reveals were something they wanted to do to keep hype up. The one referenced here is supposedly something from after release. Maybe around the release of Let's Go.
