Every Ditto is flawed at transforming according to the Gen 7 dex entries.

It shows that Ditto is so much of a fuck-up now, that it actually thought Mimikyu's fake head was its actual head and the eye holes were decorations. So it seems it copies details perfectly, but recreates faces badly on purpose.

Ditto can’t use Mimikyu’s ability. It just takes damage like a regular Pokémon and doesn’t change its model so it always looks like Mimikyu with its disguise unbroken
