>>40298248It was weird how little content there was. What content is there is pretty polished, but in terms of hours you could spend, I doubt there's 10 hours worth.
I wonder if adding online PVP could add more content. Not more characters or anything, but just the competitive aspect of it would make it more worthwhile playing.
But the thing is, they can't implement a PVP system because of how the battle system is set up. Non-super effective moves do next to no damage, so every fight is "choose what's super effective against the opponent, fill the other 2 slots with buffs for that lead attacker" So any PVP would be just luck of the draw as to whether or not you have a good or bad match up.
Add on to this how pretty much each pokemon within the 3 play types (strike, technician, support) are exactly the same outside of abilities and the game essentially becomes rock-paper-scissors. If I need a rock type, I just get the 5-star striker that's a rock type, then 2 others that buff it's attack stat. I need a water type? Get the 5-star water striker, then 2 others to buff it's special attack state.
Online just wouldn't function. There would be no skill or strategy, just pure luck.
