This is a bad analogy because breeding unironically ruined dogs. Purebreeds are vastly more prone to various conditions because of the inbreeding done down the line to create and then maintain the breed. There are certain breeds that outright have greater than 50% likelihood of developing lung or heart problems because they simply do not have bodies that are built for them to work properly.
