pic-related is a pony-sized horse (horses under 4ft10 are considered a 'pony')
regular Ponyta is already tiny at 3ft3, and the galarian MLPonyta is even smaller at 2ft7
but of course the problem isn't their sizes, but their proportions; galarian MLPonyta has a bigger head, much bigger eyes and ears, much smaller body, much shorter neck, and overall simpler and rounder shapes than regular Ponyta, and even more when compared to an actual horse
aditionally, a horse/pony with a fire mane is a pretty cool design, while a horse/pony with a rainbow cotton-candy mane is just embarrassingly pandering
in all honesty I don't care about horses or ponies at all, but I care about pokemon and the ruination of its creatures' designs and the ruination of the franchise as a whole, so I wanted to blow you the fuck out and decided to research this info
