>>40309376True, but at least they're making the improvements rather than just telling everyone to suck a dick. I'd take typical game dev studio with dubious yet effective practices over Game Freak saying "shut the fuck up we know this is what you really want" while handing us games with less and less features and not showing or at least mentioning the new features they added to supposedly make this time around any different while the cut the one thing that sets them apart from other monster breeders.
Literally everything "new" they've shown is a reskin/rework of old features - dyna/gigantamax are just big pokemon/megas with z-moves that last for 3 turns instead of being a single attack or a form that lasts until the pokemon faints or the battle is over, the bike just got the ability to work in water so you don't need a pokemon to surf on at all, the wild area is just a big open route with nothing there except some trainers and wild pokemon, raids are lifted from go and in that sense is the closest to a new feature but as soon as everyone gets bored of them you'll be stuck with the probably useless npc teams wrecking your strategy, camping is amie/refresh, cooking curry is making pokeblock/poffin except with more ingredients than just berries, we've had trainer customization in main series since xy and it was done in battle revolution before that except a bit better because you had more than 2 base models to pick from. It's all the same stuff we've seen before with better graphics.
