I've been replaying Platinum again and I'm becoming really annoyed at Gamefreaks refusal to use evolved Pokemon, both in-wild and by trainers. A trainer on the final route before victory road should not be using a Remoraid and a Mantyke instead of Octillery and Mantine. In the wild I kinda understand that putting stuff like trade evolutions out there in the grass would defeat the purpose, but as a higher and higher percentage of Pokemon use weird evolution mechanics it becomes ridiculous to see practically nothing you fight evolving past halfway in the game. And then half the stuff that does have fully level based evolutions won't show up fully evolved in the wild anyway.
