Yeah it's just a regular ass Pokemon game with a catching gimmick. It's easy to level and get food IVs and shinies are achievable and fun to hunt but the same rng bullshit. It all transfers to bank or whatever

Yes. LGPE are pokemon at it’s core and in HD which I found to be immensely enjoyable after 3DS screen hell for however many years it’s been.

Yeah, it's pretty good. It's literally just gen 1 with some minor changes to regions, and go catching mechanics. Which is refreshing after 20 years of games that are all the same. Took me only 20 hours to beat the E4 and finish the dex. Bretty gud

If you want something casual to play and are a Kanto fan then yes. The following/riding Pokemon is its best feature, altho the cutscenes whenever legendaries appeared was also really cool. But it is in fact Pokemon easy mode, so there's no challenge to it until the post game with the special trainers. I had fun, but Yellow was also my first ever game so it had an added nostalgia bonus.

Tldr: If you're looking for challenge or metagame, no. If you just want to spend a day or two chilling on the couch and having a bit of fun, sure.
