The new anime is clearly trying to pander to non pokemon fans, the two new characters are voiced by super famous seiyuu, gou is literally the mc from my hero. Not only that but they got rid of the composer for the guy who does the my hero soundtrack who does all those "inspirational epic anime battle themes"
